Lloyal has been a lifetime resident of Dalton. He and his late wife, Viola have two children, Gloria Amstutx, and Dan (Lois) Santmyer, three grand children, and six great-grandchildren. He was a builder for over 40 years. He has built, remodeled or repaired hundreds of homes in the community, and surrounding area.
He had a large truck which provided produce for many in the community. He took his produce to the farmers market up until 2 years ago. He still enjoys gardening on a modest scale. He served on the election board for over 50 years. He and his wife donated their two story log home to the Dalton Historical Society to be used as a museum. He is a charter member of the historical society, and he currently lives as one of the trustees. He was instrumental in helping to conceive, and build the large display building behind the museum. He has many stories of how much our community has changed over the years, and enjoys sharing them with all how are interested.
